Capital Area Pageant Organization is proud to be the official interim State Director for the Mrs. United States National Pageant, Inc. ®   

Mrs. United States National Pageant, Inc. celebrates intelligent women of all walks of life. Our system is based on a solid commitment to uphold the standards of fairness and integrity. It prides itself in providing an avenue for each young woman to give a voice to those needing to be heard, lend a hand to those less fortunate, and be a compass for those daring to dream. 

At the local, state, and national level, United States National Pageants give women the opportunity to promote a platform of community service. Featuring eight divisions – Little Miss, Pre-Teen, Junior Teen, Teen, Miss, Ms., Ms. Woman, and Mrs. – United States National Pageants®  is recognized as “the premier event of its kind” and the largest pageant system for girls and women ages 8+ in all 50 states, the District of Columbia, and five U.S. territories.

CAPO's ambassador program is an opportunity to gain experience, meet new friends and learn how to build your Pageant presence and increase your influence within your community. 

Young Ambassador Children's Pageant Runway event ages are reflective as of January 1, 2019.

All fees reflect Pre-Registration Pricing.  Pricing subject to increase.

$50 (Ages 12 mos-7)

Award Areas of Event Competition:

Interview/Get to know you: Round robin with 3 judge panel with real-time feedback.

Beauty/Formal: Contestants will model a formal dress.  Length can be long or cupcake (Knee-length) can be pageant or Sunday's best.  Contestants will receive written feedback.

Optional Casual OR State Costume Wear: Contestants will model a State Costume OR a seasoned themed outfit of their choice.  Can be themed wear or off the rack.   ($25 Entry Fee)

Optional Photogenic: Contestant with highest scored photo. ($25 Entry Fee) 

Optional Cat Walk:  Contestant with highest scored modeling talent receives golden ticket invitation to CAPO Runway Model Troupe. ($25 Entry Fee)

Who is CAPO?

CAPO was founded by Dr. Shena Dixon Mason, Esq. It stands for the Capital Area Pageant Organization simply put, we recognize and empower young girls, Women, families and our communities by initiating community fundraising efforts.

What does CAPO do?

We produced the 2017 Mrs. Virginia and Mrs. West Virginia pageants and the 2018 Miss Virginia United States Pageants, the preliminaries to the National Miss United States Pageant.


We produce CAPOEVENT shows to include bridal shows and NYFW events. We mentor CAPOKids in academic and small businesses through our Fundraising program. 

We guide TEAMCAPO women in business startups & training and We manage the CAPOBrides, CAPO Queens and CAPORunway modeling teams and keep them looking beautiful with our in house Hair and Make up teams.  

With CAPOWeddings we help people balance and financially recover from their wedding day. CAPOFit for Women's health and Weight loss

CAPO in Italian means “BOSS” so that makes us a BOSS Business Family.

CAPO is a movement of people who believe that, as a team, through the power of Women,  We can make broken look beautiful, We can make strong look invincible, We can walk amongst the universe, with love on our shoulders, and make it look like we all have superpowers.
