WHAT IS CAPO WORLD?
CAPO was founded by Dr. Shena Dixon Mason, Esq. CAPO was created to provide people with a fun environment to grow as community givers and entrepreneurs. CAPO is Italian for BOSS and is the mantra by which we live. We teach the principles of becoming a boss in the areas of Cash, Assets, Property, and Ownership. Within the context of building the CAPO foundation it begins with service through pagentry, CAPO represents Community Action Platformed through Opportunities. Simply put, we recognize and empower children, people, families and our communities by initiating positive community support and development.
ABOUT TEAM CAPO AND DMG HISTORY
TEAM CAPO support people who invest their time to make a positive impact upon their communities and the world we live in. TEAM CAPO members are people who are students or work within various professions and careers. Most importantly, they are people who work to provide services and positive outcomes to their communities.
TEAM CAPO is comprised of several collectives and has gained recognition across multiple industries. In 2017, CAPO produced the 2017 Mrs. Virginia and Mrs. West Virginia pageants and the 2018 Miss Virginia United States Pageants, the preliminaries to the National Miss United States Pageant. In 2019, TEAM CAPO was proud to serve as the at-large director for over 40 states, and took 40 Queens to the National Stage in Las Vegas, Nevada. While there,TEAM CAPO welcomed an additional 24 Queens and assisted in the daily activities and agenda of the eleven day United States National Pageant. In 2023, TEAM CAPO returned to support National Pageant efforts and today continue to produce local and state CAPO EVENTS to include workshops, bridal shows and NYFW events. we mentor CAPOKids in academic and small businesses through our CAPOBuild Fundraising programs.
We have guided TEAMCAPO women in business startups & training and we also managed and promoted CAPOBrides, CAPO Queens, and CAPORunway modeling troupes. We also helped keep them looking beautiful with our in-house CAPOBeauty Hair and Make up teams. TEAM CAPO supports all stages of life. CAPOWeddings helped people prepare, balance and financially support their new lives from the date of their engagement and beyond. CAPOFit provided support for individual health and weight loss and CAPOFoods introduced a healthier take on foods that support and promote healthy aging. In 2020, CAPOFinancial launched and revolutionized the way we learn and understand consumer habits, personal spending and personal investments by introducing the concept of "Living your life in your life."
After two decades of service, in 2023, CAPO TEAMS begin to share the stories of community caring and sharing through the Shena Dixon Mason DMG History Project. Today we travel coast to coast sharing knowledge, education, and support that can't be anywhere.
